Chaper Seven The Lord's Prayer

A Child Called It -David
I didn’t care anymore. I wanted mother to kill me. I won the election for the school news paper name. They gave me a paper to bring home to mother saying that I was a great student and that I won the name. She ripped it up and I was used to all the names she called me but when she called me it that made me snap. I wasn’t going to play her games anymore. I did everything to make her mad. After the last gas chamber I stopped. I didn’t have the towel this time and she turned the air duct off.
Father separated from mother. I was all hers now. She said that father couldn’t save me now. I stopped believing in god but I prayed on the way home after seeing father for the last time. “”…deliver me from evil.” “Amen.”

Chapter Six While father is away

A Child called it - David
Mother’s new favorite punishments are putting me in ice cold water and making me wait outside in the old. I’m not allowed to dry off and I have to go to bead in my wet clothes. The other punishment is where mother mixes Clorox and ammonia in a bucket. She puts it in the bathroom and makes me scrub the bathroom. I can’t breath and breathing it in makes my throat raw. I was in there four hours. That night I was throwing up blood for hours it seemed like.
Mother latter told me that she was done with everything and that I needed to forget what happened. She asked me if I would be a good boy. YES I’LL BE A GOOD BOY!! Mother said if I was a good boy then she would be a good mother.
Finally this all was ending! Mother let me wear new clothes that I got for Christmas last year. She let me play with my brothers. One day a lady came over to talk to mother. Mother called me in the house. The lady asked me if mother beats me and if I was happy. I said yes and mother only beats me when I’m a bad boy. When the lady left it went back to the way it used to be. Mother beat me and made

Chapter Fife The Accident

A Child Called It -David
I didn't care how bad I had hatted mother, but when the accident happened all I wanted was for her to hold me for her to care for me. I was so horrified I was waiting for her to take me to the hospital. I was waiting for Father to pick me up in his arms and rush me to the hospital. It never happened. Mother just bandaged me up and told me to play with my brothers. This never happened. I was wanting for this to be over. I wanted for her to go back to the normal loving mother. She didn't change her ways.

Chapter Four Fight for food

A child Called it David
Amongst all of the other ways mother has been punishing me starving is the worst. I have tried everything to salvage food. I started steeling kid's lunches at school. The principle called mother and she started punishing me for that. I had to think of a new way to get food.
Mother made me run to school so I couldn't have time to steel other kids lunches. I came up with a plan to run faster and time myself so I could stop at houses to ask for food.
That plan got ruined. Mothers friend caught me and called mother.
I never did that again. I have to make a better plan. The grocery store. I started running to school faster and timing myself so I can go steel food from there.
when I got home from school mother knew that I had found food so she made me throw it up.
I'll find food eventually.

Chapter 3 Bad boy

A Child Called It David
Mother used to discipline me. But that soon changed. Now she punished me for being a bad boy.
She started out making me stand out in the corrner to making me go on hour trips to the basement to find her missing things. Sometimes I would be looking for so long I would forget what I was looking for. I would never ask her what I was looking for again.
The punishment didn't stop there. One day when I came home from school she told me to take off my clothes and stand next to the stove. I felt so acward. Why is she making me do this. I knew something bad was going to happen.

Chapter One

A child called it. - DAVID
I was late to school today. I didn't finish the dishes in time. I usually run to school and get there right when class starts. But mother drove me to school today. I had to report to the administrator's office. The nurse comes into the room and pulls me into her office. She does her usual routine. She asked me what happened to my head. I told her that I had ran into the door. It was an accident. The nurse looks through her paper work. She told me that I had said that last week. She soon sent me to class.

I walk into my fifth grade English class. Everyone plugs there noses. The sub was waving her hand in front of her. She wasn't used to the smell. I have been wearing the same long sleeved shirt, old jeans, and holely shoes for the past two years.
Before I had the chance to take my spelling test I was called down to the office.

There was a police oficer and all of my teachers sitting in the lounge. The principle asked me to tell them about mother. They can not know about mother. They already know. I started crying. Please don't call mother!

The police officer walked me out of school. He was taking me to the police station. Now mother can't hurt me. He walked me into the police station and I knew that mother would be there. This place was huge. He took me into a little office and he sat in the corner. When I sat down he said "Now David I need your number."
"No please don't call mother. You don't understand! She mustn't know!"
He started to dial. I hurd the phone ring. Mother answered. The police officer told mother that I am not comming home today that I am in the custidy of Juvinial court. He hung up the phone.
"That wasn't so bad David."

We were on the highway leaving town. I sen a sign that said "The cleanest highway in the whole world."
"Your free David" Said the police officer.
